Friedgator ain't dead, I've just been trying cultivate some sources so we can expose what really goes on in Tallahassee. Since the print press is going through some hard times, it seems they are missing some stories and some things that happen right in front of them (more on that later, but someone might want to ask Friedgator commenter and government employee Sandi Copes).

One of the most interesting things that has happened this week, aside from Republican super-donor Odom being under federal investigation, is stand-in House Spekaer Larry Cretul and the NRCC's latest trial balloon about running for Congress against Alan Grayson.
The main topic of discussion in those meeting continue to be if he should run for congress.
According to sources close to the meetings last Friday -- Cretul talked about how he met with the NRCC last week to discuss the possible run and how he should go about doing that. Cretul called the meetings "encouraging" but that the NRCC told him l that he would need to raise $2 million for them to be able to help him compete against the multi-millionaire Freshman congressman Alan Grayson.
If he decides to run, David Daniel suggested that since Grayson is a "flamethrower" Cretul should focus on being "a problem solver that can get things done" and avoid looking like Marco Rubio, who Daniel also called "an opportunist, because of the way he feeds off the press." Cretul agreed and said, "I am 61 year I don't need a another resume credential I am doing this cause I want to serve."
But the most interesting note of Larry's post trial ballon tour in Tallahassee happened in another meeting that day. When Cretul was pressed on how he feels in his gut about running -- "Well it is going to be a real battle, because he's [Grayson's] rich and crazy."
