The Buzz notes of the end of a Wall Street Journal editorial slamming Charlie Crist on State Farm leaving Florida: "It's scary to imagine the bill taxpayers will get when the next big
hurricane hits Florida. It's even scarier to think Mr. Crist is being
touted as a potential GOP candidate for the White House."
It is scary indeed. The WSJ goes on to say that taxpayers face a possible liability of up to $400 billion. The scariest part is that the insurance situation needs leadership and tough decisions to be made -- there is no simple solution. But Charlie is choosing Bush-like statements of good-riddance in place of leadership once again. Then, he proposes unrealistic solutions that we are going tohave to pay for long after he's gone. He's done it with the budget, he's doing it with the economy and he's still doing it with insurance.
On the same day, a poll comes out saying 73% of Floridians approve of Charlie's job performance. The reason is simple: the only group of people that fights Charlie used to be led by Ray Sansom ... it's time to wake up Democrats. I understand the "political situation" and not wanting to jeopardize your "political futures" but there are some things more important than a few polls (I'm looking at you ... Alex, Dan, Dave, and Karen).
