Well it looks like Charlie is going to get another chance at the national spotlight on Sunday. David Gregory posted on his new blog that his guests will be our own Governor Charlie Crist and Liousiana's Governor Booby Jindal. They are going to discuss the stimulus in what will likely be billed as an early battle of the 2012 Republican primary. But, we're not so sure ...We think it might become something else -- a test for Charlie. See most of the time Charlie Crist is stuck down here, where reporters seem to think everything he does is alright as long as people like him. David Gregory has bigger fish to fry and might make Charlie answer questions ... because "I believe I already answered that" is not acceptable at the table Tim Russert moderated for most of my lifetime.

How can Governor Crist take the stimulus now? Earlier this week he declared he was going to be cutting taxes in Florida and he still can't balance his budget -- even with more stimulus money (after applying for TWO waivers because Florida does not qualify for bilions under the law without them). Is he cutting taxes on the backs of future generations of Americans? Is he just using the stimulus to get re-elected?
